Fragrance and backgammon share the stage for Lacoste Original influencer kit

The influencer kit developed for the launch of Interparfums’ Lacoste Original fragrance includes a backgammon set. Made of recycled cardboard, the pack was designed by France’s Bemad.

How to communicate the launch of a new fragrance in a playful and inspiring way? For the release of Lacoste Original, the first Lacoste scent under new licensee Interparfums, the brand sent out an influencer kit with a point of difference. As well as containing the fragrance, it doubles as a backgammon set.

Designed by Bemad and produced by LPF Groupe, the collector’s edition coffret is made of recycled cardboard. It is sheathed in embossed fabric paper that displays a subtle silhouette of the fragrance bottle. Employing a friction closure avoids the use of magnets.

Offering its dose of 80s nostalgia when backgammon had its heyday, this kind of design could prove a source of inspiration going forward. “Games are new terrain for brands, who want to go beyond packaging design to create a more playful experience for consumers,” highlights Bemad.
