IMEI, Nimetex Groupe and Packaging Lux unveil their secondary packaging innovations at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026

IMEI, Nimetex Groupe and Packaging Lux unveil their secondary packaging innovations at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026
Upcycled materials, portable accessories and monomaterial solutions are among the trends in the spotlight this year at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026. Among the innovations on show, IMEI Division, Nimetex Groupe and Packaging Lux explore three different approaches to secondary packaging, combining functionality, waste valorization and structural simplification.

IMEI turns lipstick into a portable accessory

With Lip-spring, IMEI Division reimagines the lipstick holder with a system designed to adapt to different formats.

Thanks to a patented flexible spring, the solution can adapt to various lipstick shapes. Its thickness and dimensions can also be adjusted, while a wide range of premium finishes allows brands to customize the product to reflect their own identity.

This approach transforms lipstick into a truly portable accessory, designed for easy carrying while maintaining a premium and refined aesthetic.

Nimetex Groupe focuses on upcycling and artisanal craftsmanship

Tunisian textile manufacturer Nimetex Groupe presents several packaging solutions based on the use of local materials and repurposed resources.

With Jancora, designed for wine bottles, the company combines locally harvested plant fibers with upcycled textile materials. The body of the packaging is hand-woven from rush and esparto grass, while Nimetex’s textile production offcuts are reused to create the black cotton bias binding.

The cord is also hand-woven from esparto grass and features pistachio shell inclusions. The closure takes the form of a button made from reclaimed wood, hand-polished and engraved. The packaging also includes a reusable stopper and can be transformed into a display stand.

Another innovation presented by Nimetex Groupe, Dattera gives new value to both industrial and agricultural waste to create reusable luxury packaging.

Locally recovered date pits are cleaned, polished and then assembled by hand onto a pouch made from the company’s textile offcuts. The stopper is carved from reclaimed palm wood. Dattera is competing this year for the

Packaging Lux eliminates metal in favor of a monomaterial solution

A new exhibitor from Luxembourg, Packaging Lux is presenting a box with no metal components.
Its closure system is directly integrated into the box structure, which is made entirely from virgin and recycled cardboard.

By eliminating metal components, the company aims to reduce the weight of the packaging while simplifying production through fewer assembly steps.

This monomaterial design aims to simplify production while offering a lighter and more streamlined structure. Packaging Lux is also competing for the LUXE PACK in Green Award.

Through these different innovations, the exhibitors highlight several key developments in secondary packaging: material reuse, fewer components, enhanced functionality, and the transformation of packaging into an object in its own right.
