Cosmogen Develops the Gua Sha-Inspired Brush for Clarins’ New Foundation

Cosmogen Develops the Gua Sha-Inspired Brush for Clarins’ New Foundation
Clarins is taking a new step in the hybridisation of skincare and make-up with the launch of Double Serum Foundation, its first hybrid serum foundation. Inspired by the brand’s iconic Double Serum, the new product combines a biphasic formula with bespoke packaging featuring a patented two-in-one dispensing technology and a rotating push button.

In line with the “skinification” trend, Clarins is bringing its iconic Double Serum into the make-up category. The formula is presented in customised packaging similar to that of the ninth generation of the serum, launched in 2024.

Double Serum Foundation promises medium-to-high coverage for 12 hours and hydration for 24 hours. Made with 87% skincare ingredients, the formula features Clarins’ exclusive A.U.R.A. technology — Advanced Ultra Radiance Amplifier.

The technology combines natural light-reflecting ingredients, including glycerin, squalane and illuminating microcrystals. The formula also contains stabilised papain, a 100% pure molecule derived from papaya, which acts as a gentle enzymatic exfoliant to enhance skin radiance.

Available in 37 shades, Double Serum Foundation retails for $62.
To accompany the launch, Cosmogen developed a bespoke gua sha-inspired brush. The accessory combines make-up performance with a lifting massage gesture.
The brush features a wooden handle, a gold ferrule engraved with the Clarins logo and synthetic fibres of varying lengths.
