Refillable packaging takes center stage among the innovations presented at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026
Jars, lipsticks, compacts, tubes and roll-ons: at LUXE PACK Monaco 2026, refillable packaging is taking shape across a wide variety of formats. Technicaps, Bormioli Luigi, 3D Cork, Axilone, PPK and Albéa are presenting solutions designed to combine a premium experience, reduced material use, ease of refilling and more responsible material choices.

Technicaps combines refillability with Eastman resin for Re-Feel

For the 2026 edition, Technicaps is presenting its Re-Feel refillable jar, designed for skincare products.
The thick-walled outer jar is made from PET using Eastman’s Cristal One Renew IM812 resin, with Eastman also exhibiting at the show. Positioned as an alternative to glass, the material stands out for its high clarity and transparency. The inner refill is made from cellulose. The project also brings together Cromes for tooling and Oerlikon HRSflow for its hot runner technology.

Bormioli Luigi focuses on refillable glass for lipstick

Italian glassmaker Bormioli Luigi is highlighting Swing, its refillable lipstick made from thin-walled glass.
The packaging can incorporate up to 15% recycled glass and features a one-step refill system. A removable central ring makes it easy to replace the refill and can be made from bio-based or recyclable materials.

According to Bormioli Luigi, Swing has now reached a level of maturity that allows for industrial-scale production.

Albéa extends refillability from lipstick to tubes

With Endless Kiss, Albéa is presenting a refillable lipstick that is competing for the LUXE PACK in Green Award.

The packaging uses the supplier’s Rouge Green mechanism, made up of three components entirely produced in PP. The cap and base are also made from the same material.

The lipstick can be refilled up to 10 times and, according to Albéa, can reduce material use by 62% over its life cycle compared with conventional lipstick packaging.

Endless Kiss has now moved beyond the industrialization stage and entered production.

Albéa is also presenting Fill-Up Tube, a rigid monomaterial PE refill solution designed to prevent leaks.

The tube is designed to be cut open at the top and combines the supplier’s Greenleaf sleeve with an EcoFusion Top. Compared with a conventional PBL tube, the solution is said to deliver a 9% weight reduction and a 9% lower carbon footprint.
French brand L’Occitane has already adopted the solution.

Through these innovations, refillability is now extending far beyond a single type of packaging. Glass, aluminum, PET, cellulose, cork and compostable materials are being explored through different approaches, all with the same objective: extending the lifespan of the primary packaging while simplifying the refill experience.
