The Grimaldi Forum

New Modern Spaces and Sustainable Commitment
The Grimaldi Forum
The Grimaldi Forum is evolving
The Grimaldi Forum is reinventing itself with the Mareterra eco-district in Monaco, a 6-hectare seaside environment with 27,000 m² of vegetation and 19,000 m² of pedestrian areas. Its 6,000 m² extension, designed by architects Alexandre Giraldi and Patrick Raymond, adds 50% modular space and 2,000 m² of outdoor space to take advantage of the 300 days of sunshine. This new structure allows for simultaneous events and is connected to the main building via the Diaghilev Hall, with a separate exterior entrance on the pine forest side.

A sustainable project
The Grimaldi Forum Monaco extension adopts an exemplary approach to sustainable development, meeting BREEAM standards and being HQE Sustainable Development certified. Like the original building, it benefits from optimal thermal insulation thanks to cellular glass insulation, which is recyclable and meets High Environmental Quality criteria. The centralized technical management (CTM), with its 3,600 control points, optimizes air conditioning, lighting, water management, and overflow. The extension also uses seawater as a renewable energy source and has a waste sorting center, thus consolidating its ecological commitment.
