La Roche-Posay collaborates with Medicos to combine roll-on and dropper expertise.
The brand leverages Medicos’ know-how for the packaging of its Hyalu B5 Anti-Wrinkle Eye Serum, uniquely merging a dropper and a roll-on to ensure precise and targeted application.
A technical and sustainable solution combining application precision, industrial performance, and eco-design
This solution is built around a PP roll-on pipette fitted with a stainless steel ball, combined with a nitrile bulb, a PP collar, and a PP protective cap.The 15 ml bottle is made of tinted molded glass. The innovation lies in combining the precise dosing gesture of a dropper with the targeted application of a roll-on, perfectly suited to the delicate eye contour area.
From an industrial standpoint, Medicos successfully met the challenge of automating the assembly of the stainless steel ball and the dropper system, ensuring reliability, consistency, and production performance. In a sustainable approach, the PP, stainless steel, and glass components are recyclable.The bulb, currently made of nitrile, will soon be replaced by a TPE that is recyclable within the PP stream, while maintaining the same functional and sensory properties.
