Géraldine POIVERT

Biography
With over 20 years of experience in sustainable development and the circular economy, Géraldine has held several strategic and operational leadership roles. She began her career in major retail, serving as Deputy Director for Economy and Environment at the FCD (French Federation of Retail and Distribution), before founding and leading Ecofolio, the French paper recycling compliance scheme, which later merged with Eco-Emballages to become Citeo. Trained at Sciences Po Aix and Sciences Po Paris, Géraldine began her professional journey in journalism and within ministerial offices. In 2020, she co-founded (RE)SET with two partners — the first integrated consulting firm dedicated to both economic and environmental transition. Today, (RE)SET brings together over 50 consultants from diverse backgrounds to reflect the complexity of the transition landscape. A recognized expert on public, economic, and industrial issues linked to the transition — including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), public and private funding, and emerging regulations — Géraldine was appointed in 2021 to France’s National Circular Economy Council, reporting to the Ministry of Environment. She also serves as France 2030 Ambassador for sustainable materials and recycling, appointed by the French government's General Secretariat for Investment. Additionally, she is a board member of the INEC (National Institute for the Circular Economy).
