She was instrumental in the global success of cult brands such as Shu Uemura, Aveda, Tweezerman, and L’Occitane, and co-founded the iconic Ruby & Millie. As a tireless advocate for the sector, Millie transitioned her expertise from brand marketing to industry-wide policy and representation. Under her leadership, the British Beauty Council has successfully lobbied for the industry’s economic recognition at the highest levels of government. Millie’s dedication was recognized with an MBE in 2007, followed by an OBE in 2022 for her unwavering services to the hair and beauty industry. Today, she continues to champion the industry ensuring beauty remains a powerhouse of the UK economy.
