The Col'lab

Uniting Coalitions to Shape the Future of Packaging
The Col'lab
A collaborative initiative launched by LUXE PACK Monaco to unite the forces of the packaging sector around concrete and responsible projects.
THE COL’LAB presents itself as a meeting place where associations and consortiums from around the world will invite exhibitors and visitors to engage in constructive exchanges, fostering forward-thinking discussions on the industry’s most pressing challenges, thus creating a global hub dedicated to sharing best practices.

No economic actor can tackle the environmental challenge alone. I am convinced that progress will come through coalitions between actors: as soon as they are formed to solve concrete problems, they can be highly effective.

Présidente de l'ORSE,

The Sustainable Packaging Initiative for CosmEtics (SPICE) brings together leading cosmetics brands and packaging stakeholders with a shared ambition: to collectively shape the future of sustainable packaging in the beauty sector. Launched in 2018 by L’Oréal and Quantis, SPICE now gathers over 26 international members, including global brands, suppliers, and associations across the packaging value chain. Together, SPICE members co-develop science-based methodologies, harmonized data, and practical eco-design tool to guide resilient decision-making and improve the environmental performance of cosmetics packaging of the entire packaging value chain.
(RE)SET is a consulting firm in environmental and economic transition, operating from strategy to implementation, because only results matter. Backed by a multidisciplinary team serving clients across various sectors (cosmetics, home equipment, electrical and electronic devices, water, etc.), we are convinced that only cross-functional collaboration yields tangible results: scaling up, securing funding, fostering innovation, and addressing pre-competitive challenges. With more than 15 coalitions and collaborative projects launched over the past 6 years, collective action is at the heart of (RE)SET’s DNA. In the field of packaging in particular, we lead three major projects: R3PACK, dedicated to the substitution and reuse of food packaging, funded by the EU and deployed in 20 stores this year; Pulp in Action, which tackles plastic substitution in cosmetic packaging and currently has 17 pilots underway; and Pharma-Recharge, a collective experiment testing consumer interest in refills at pharmacies, featuring a display unit offering products from eight dermo-cosmetic laboratories in six pharmacies.

Eco in Pack is a company founded in 2021 by Pierre Olivier Bouvry and Martin Calmettes, both packaging engineers with over 20 years of experience in the Perfume & Cosmetics and Wines & Spirits industries. In response to the environmental emergency, evolving regulations, and the need to develop more circular models, Eco In Pack supports brands in reducing the environmental footprint of their products and packaging—particularly through the reuse of glass containers. To accelerate this circular transition, engage stakeholders, and scale up impact, Eco In Pack leads various brand collectives. One notable initiative is a coalition for the reuse of glass bottles in the Wines & Spirits sector (in partnership with Circul’R). This group includes seven companies—Campari France, Cordier, Giffard, Marie Brizard Wine and Spirits, Moët Hennessy, Pernod Ricard, and Rémy Cointreau—as well as two out-of-home distributors: France Boissons and Richard Vins et Spiritueux. With financial support and guidance from Citeo and Adelphe, this initiative aims to jointly test and develop a scalable reuse model for glass bottles.
Circul'R places its expertise at the service of the transition of companies and regions towards a circular economy.
