Color Code PCR from Aptar Beauty is an all-plastic perfume pump made using post-consumer recycled resin—a first-to-market, according to the beauty packaging supplier. The company also recently unveiled NeoDropper, a dispenser designed for « ever-more demanding » skincare formulas.

Aptar Beauty has introduced a PCR version of its Color Code fragrance pump. Said to be the first of its kind to be made with recycled plastic, Color Code PCR integrates up to 67% mechanical PCR Plus resin. While customization options and aesthetics remain identical to those of a conventional pump–Color Code PCR offers a range of colors in a glossy finish–its CO2 emissions are said to be up to 39% lower than the same pump made with virgin plastic, says Aptar Beauty. This is based on a 100% PCR Plus cap, 95% PCR Plus Collar and 50% PCR Plus actuator and fixture.
« Color Code PCR […] is our very first plastic fragrance pump integrating PCR. This pump not only adds a touch of color and differentiation to fragrance launches, but can also help brands achieve their sustainability goals by committing to packaging circularity, » Giuseppe Barletta, Regional Platform Manager EMEA for Fragrance Lifestyle at Aptar Beauty, said in a statement.
