TECHNATURE – WoW Impact: a structured and committed CSR approach

Since 2023, TECHNATURE’s WoW Impact initiative has structured its CSR commitments, integrating certifications (ISO 22716, COSMOS, Natrue, B-Corp, UN Global Compact, Ecovadis) and concrete actions.
This approach makes it possible to reduce its negative environmental impact and increase its positive social impact.
The current objective is to engage all stakeholders to create a significant CSR movement in the cosmetics sector, both in France and internationally.

- reduce our environmental footprint,
- strengthen our positive impact on employees and the territory.
This project is based on three strategic pillars — Planet, Employees, Territory — and relies on concrete commitments monitored by precise indicators.
By 2030, TECHNATURE commits to:
- reduce energy and water consumption by 10%,
- reduce waste by 17%,
- achieve a 90% recovery rate of remaining waste,
- reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 27%.
IMPACT

For now, efforts have focused on the direct impact of our production sites, but the initiative is being expanded upstream and downstream.
The objective is to inspire, to testify, and to involve as many partners as possible in order to create a consortium with low environmental impact.

PROJECT LAUNCH
The WoW Impact project was born in 2022 from a strategic decision by TECHNATURE’s management to give overall coherence to all CSR actions carried out for several years.
- Initiated by general management in collaboration with the CSR manager and all teams.
- Internal audit phase and consultation of stakeholders.
- Definition of 9 structured commitments.
- Creation of a CSR committee.
- Implementation of measurable objectives by 2030.
- Deployment of monitoring indicators.
- Integration into internal and external communication.
Constraints identified: change management, harmonization of practices between sites, continuous awareness of teams.
Success achieved thanks to: cross-functional management, strong involvement of management, and regular engagement with employees.

IMPLEMENTATION
The deployment of WoW Impact was structured in several steps:
- 2022: diagnosis of existing practices.
- 2023: formalization of environmental, social, and territorial objectives + integration of indicators into internal processes.
- 2024: recognition through labels and awards: B-Corp Label and Ecovadis Platinum Medal.
Difficulties encountered:
- involvement of all departments in a cross-functional approach,
- reliability of data (energy monitoring, waste, purchases).
Solutions implemented:
- creation of multidisciplinary working groups,
- awareness adapted to each profession,
- support from the QHSE and Purchasing departments,
- strengthened internal communication,
- designation of CSR ambassadors from the CSR committee.
INVOLVEMENT IN THE COMPANY
The WoW Impact approach is based on:
- strong involvement of all employees,
- shared governance,
- co-construction workshops,
- interdepartmental working groups,
- awareness campaigns.
CSR representatives have been appointed in each department to relay actions. Management integrates CSR into the company’s overall strategy.
This collaborative approach ensures coherence, transparency, and effectiveness.
