Live from LUXE PACK Monaco 2024: Quadpack shows Woodacity developments, applicators and refills
Spain-based beauty packaging supplier Quadpack, which announced it was joining Texen in the PSB Industries group earlier this year, unveiled a host of novelties at LUXE PACK Monaco 2024, from PET dip-in packs with exclusive applicators to a monomaterial tube dispensing formulas in custom shapes. New additions to its Woodacity franchise were also previewed.

At Quadpack‘s booth in LUXE PACK Monaco. Market Development Director Pierre-Antoine Henry previewed upcoming launches in the form of Woodacity Hidden. A prestige version of its Woodacity cap, the component was developed in response to requests from brands for the mechanics of the cap to be invisible. Compared with the one-piece Woodacity, Woodacity Hidden consists of two pieces (cap and inner part) glued together with biodegradable glue, with the inner mechanism inversed towards the top of the cap. A major launch with a prestige brands is slated for January 2025.

Also on show was BeautyWood, a collection of wooden lipsticks and compacts given a “haute couture” makeover thanks to work on the machining and post processing of the material. Maple, beech or ash wood are imbued with textures thanks to CNC machining or lasers. The application of lacquer and even gold leaf adds to the premium aesthetic. “The idea is to push creativity to inspire brands,” comments Henry.

The applicator boom

With applicators a thriving category driven by celebrity launches and new liquid formulation trends, Quadpack has launched a range of exclusive applicators for its PET dip-in packs, including nature-inspired shapes and metal designs for a cold-touch effect. “Classic flocked applicators are evolving,” says Quadpack Category Specialist Mateia Crippa, adding that the supplier’s offer is designed to “add value to the formula and boost the consumer experience”.
