Procos reveals new-generation monomaterial boxes
Germany-based packaging provider Procos has revealed its latest launches in the luxury shopping bag arena and newcomers to its Grace Box line. An innovation in the monomaterial box segment—with a patent in the pipeline—will be revealed at the upcoming 2024 LUXE PACK Monaco show. The company is also adapting its shopping bag offer in the face of recently implemented anti-dumping tariffs in the US.
In response to market demand for monomaterial and lightweighted secondary packaging solutions, German supplier Procos has developed new variants of its Grace Box. First introduced in 2023, the FSC-certified cardboard and paper boxes—conceived to match wood and MDF solutions when it comes to robustness and strength—now has designs targeting distinct market segments: jewelry, wine and spirits and home and decoration. As for the first generation, the boxes are said to be around 40% lighter than MDF and 10% than wood.
