Smurfit Westrock unveils Papel, an innovative bottle cushioning system

At Luxe Pack Monaco, the packaging manufacturer Smurfit Westrock unveiled Papel, a patented protective solution for cylindrical containers. This ingenious system with adjustable fins adapts to all bottle formats, ensuring optimal protection while improving logistics efficiency.

According to Gaëlle Coelho, Communications Manager at Smurfit Westrock France, this innovation makes it possible to gain up to 34 additional boxes per loading unit — a breakthrough that combines efficiency, sustainability, and packaging performance.
