Description

For decades, the fragrance industry has been overseen by regulatory bodies such as IFRA and the Cosmetics Regulation. These organizations work to regulate the raw materials used in cosmetics. However, it’s only been in recent years that a global industry-wide reflection has highlighted the use of ethyl alcohol in perfumes. This concern is justified, as it can cause skin dryness and thus increased sensitivity to UV rays. In 2020, California regulations warned that the use of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) would be reduced by 2030.

We are therefore witnessing a surge in industry innovation, which, although it has been studying alcohol substitutes in perfumes for a long time, had never before been so challenged.

Numerous innovations are emerging, and today, and every day a little more, new solutions are being found to formulate alcohol-free perfumes, hence our term VIRGIN PERFUME.

PCW aims to be at the forefront of this movement, continuously developing innovative and up-to-date solutions.
