Candles Scandinavia – a world of 100% natural candles

Candles Scandinavia has set itself the goal of making 100% natural wax scented candles the new standard and a sustainable alternative to paraffin wax, which it mass produces in its factory in Sweden.

Nina and Viktor Garmiani founded Candles Scandinavia in 2009 with the ambition of ‘making the best natural wax scented candles’. There were two main types of wax on the market at the time: conventional petroleum-based paraffin, which is both the most common and easiest to produce, and plant-based versions, often made from rapeseed, soybean, or coconut oil, that are more difficult to mass produce.

The founders of Candles Scandinavia therefore chose a third option by developing a wax with rapeseed (cultivated in Sweden) oil as its main ingredient. Its patented and constantly improved recipe allows it to produce consistently high-quality candles in industrial quantities. Its candles are therefore fully biodegradable and free from toxic products. Candles Scandinavia also offers alcohol- and glycol-free room diffusers, designed with the same approach to sustainability.

On the ‘Private Label’ candle and diffuser market, the other strength of the Swedish manufacturer is its complete control of the chain. Design, sourcing of containers and fragrances, manufacturing, quality control, packaging, and customisation are all carried out on one site accommodating the laboratory, the factory, and the warehouse.
