Scentys: another way to scent the air

An expert in the creation of olfactory experiences, Scentys puts its historic know-how in fragrance diffusion to work for brands in the luxury, automotive and fine fragrance sectors.
In 2004, the company Scentys was born with a completely novel concept in the field of space fragrance. Developed by two engineers, their solution, known as “dry diffusion,” set itself apart from the various existing options on the market at the time (such as spraying devices, sticks, sprays, and candles). In practical terms, the fragrance is encapsulated in polymer beads that, when combined with a ventilation system, release the fragrance into the surrounding air. Patented, the Scentys solution guarantees the perfect rendition of the diffused fragrance. “In fine perfumery, our expertise allows us to adapt existing fragrances to our technology without altering the olfactory note,” says Cécile Bourdie, Director of Marketing & Communication. Other advantages include perfect safety in use and, additionally, a healthier environment since the beads contain only pure fragrance concentrate, with no alcohol or solvents added.
Since 2004, Scentys has leveraged its expertise to explore new application areas, such as a connected diffusion platform that enables remote triggering or scheduling of space fragrance via a mobile app and/or voice command. In 2023, the company is now focusing on material innovation. After several years of research and testing, they are now able to offer an alternative to polypropylene for their fragrance capsules. This material is composed of minerals and plants, recyclable, vegan, and bio-sourced. The goal is to provide the same diffusion properties and qualities but without using plastic.
